I will stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming bout.

Former two-time world title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly happening.
